GINA has just celebrated it's 5 year anniversary and has hit a milestone of
200 adoptions. GINA handles retired racers from the North Eastern US states
but also take in some racers from Florida. GINA has a one month foster
program for the hounds and processes applications from adopters on a
'matching'  basis where the foster dogs are matched with the most suitable
applicant and home environment. It is a constant revolving door of greys
coming into fostering and greys going out to the 'forever homes'. As with
all adoption groups we could not do what we do without the tireless efforts
of our volunteers. Our membership base is 100 families strong and we do
organize some fund raising events as in our Annual Summer Picnic and our
Winter GH Event. We also do a separate fund raising for our GRIN (Greyhounds
Really in Need) Fund which is specifically for those fosters that need extra
medical treatments.
